Angela Render has long had a passion for history and martial arts. With an emphasis on ancient civilizations, she received her Bachelor of Arts in History from George Mason University. Her continuing studies have included the history of costume, weapons, religion and warfare. Her perspective on history is unique compared to her peers, in that she looks at things from a polytheistic point of view, rather than a monotheistic one. Because of this, her writing enjoys a flavor unlike other historical fiction works.
Her work has appeared in Smithsonian Magazine Online and she has a column in Writers' Journal. She also teaches classes at the Bethesda Writers Center.
She enjoys traveling the world with her husband and daughter when she's not at home in Maryland tending to her yard or renovating her house.
